Regular Season Round 6: Padova - Lecco 71-65

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Padova as it allowed them to take a leadership position in B. Padova defeated 5th ranked Lecco at home 71-65. It was a good game for Corrado Bianconi (202-94) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. Guard Andrea Dagnello (189-91) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Carlo Trentin (196-96) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Giulio Mascherpa (185-92, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points in the effort for Lecco. Five Lecco players scored in double figures. Lecco's coach Riccardo Eliantonio tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Padova (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with San Vendemiano. Lecco at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. They share the position with Vigevano. Lecco will play next round against Vigevano trying to get back on the winning streak. Padova will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked LTC Sangiorg. at San Giorgio.
