Regular Season Round 12: Fukuoka R. - Fukushima 88-87

A very close game took place in Fukuoka between Fukuoka R. and Fukushima. Sixth ranked Fukuoka R. (3-9) got a very close home victory over one of their biggest challengers Fukushima (4-6). Fukuoka R. managed to escape with a 1-point win 88-87 on Saturday evening. Fukuoka R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll., agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import power forward Kevinn Pinkney (207-83, college: Nevada, agency: SDJ Sports) who added 24 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: N.Mexico St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. Four Fukushima players scored in double figures. Fukushima's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fukuoka R. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Yamagata. Fukushima at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Fukuoka R. will again meet at home higher ranked Fukushima (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fukushima will have a break next round.
