Undefeated COR-Borisfen (3-1) recorded its first loss in Mogilev on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by leader Grodno-93 (4-0) 71-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of COR-Borisfen. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 25-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Center Pavel Karasevich (201-89) fired 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Ukrainian forward Ivan Kalyaev (200-87) chipped in 14 points. American guard Brian Starr (190-96, college: Towson) produced 12 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import center Taylor Adway (203-96, college: Ferris St.) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Grodno-93 have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. COR-Borisfen at the other side dropped to the fifth position with one game lost. Grodno-93 are looking forward to face Brest (#6) at home in the next round. COR-Borisfen will play against Prinemanye and is hoping to win this game.
