Regular Season Round 10: Aisin AW - Saga B. 76-63

Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Saga B. (8-2). They were defeated by third ranked Aisin AW (7-3) 76-63 on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Saga B.. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Saga B.'s 34. They outrebounded Saga B. 41-23 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) scored 40 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Senegalese forward Assane Diop (197-92, college: Austin Peay) chipped in 8 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American Trey Gilder (206-85, college: Northwestern St.) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and his fellow American import forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF, agency: Pensack Sports) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aisin AW maintains third position with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Toyoda Gosei, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Newly promoted Saga B. dropped to the second place with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Toyoda Gosei. Saga B. will play next round against league's leader Toyoda Gosei trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Aisin AW will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Saitama Broncos at home.
