Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Piombino (4-2) outleveled at home 13th ranked Valsesia (1-5) 88-46 on Sunday. They outrebounded Valsesia 39-26 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Giacomo Eliantonio (205-88) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Alessandro Procacci (184-94) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Piombino players scored in double figures. Coach Marco Andreazza's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Andrea Petracca (197-97) who recorded 12 points and naturalized Albanian point guard Ferdi Bedini (192-99) added 11 points respectively. Piombino moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Vigevano and Lecco. Loser Valsesia dropped to the fourteenth position with five games lost. Piombino will face Oleggio (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valsesia will play against San Miniato and hope to win that game.
