Third defeat of league's leader Nishinomiya S. (10-3) against first ranked Dragonflies (11-2) 83-60 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nishinomiya S.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Dragonflies made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Venezuelan center Gregory Echenique (206-90, college: Creighton, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. American center Brad Waldow (208-91, college: St.Mary's, CA, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) added 9 points and 5 assists in the effort for Nishinomiya S.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies maintains first place with 11-2 record. Nishinomiya S. at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Shinshu BW.
