Regular Season Round 9: Haneda Vickies - JX-Eneos S. 67-103

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Haneda Vickies (3-5) in Tokyo 103-67. JX-Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda Vickies' 42. They outrebounded Haneda Vickies 49-31 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Haneda Vickies' players. It was a good game for power forward Tokashiki Kurume (193-0) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. International forward Yuki Miyazawa (182-93, college: Queens, NY) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Makoto Hoshizawa (182-95) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Nanoko Motohashi (164-93) added 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Haneda Vickies. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-1 record, which they share with Toyota B SR. Haneda Vickies at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost.
