Very predictable result when sixth ranked Saitama Broncos (5-4) defeated at home 11th ranked Kanazawa (2-8) 81-69. Saitama Broncos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 24. They outrebounded Kanazawa 48-27 including a 35-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Saitama Broncos players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Kanazawa's players. Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) supported him with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Saitama Broncos' coach Thomas Roijakkers used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Kanazawa. Kotaro Suda (184-95) added 12 points for lost side. Saitama Broncos have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Kanazawa at the other side keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Saitama Broncos will play against higher ranked Aisin AW (#3) in Aichi in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kanazawa will play at home against Tokyo HT (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
