Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Formia Meta (2-4) was edged at home by fourth ranked Salerno (5-1) 87-84 on Sunday. Salerno made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was swingman Alessandro Poti (192-91) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Lorenzo Tortu (202-92) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mirko Gentili (190-93) who recorded 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Alessandro Porfido (192-93) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively.
