Very important is a road loss of second ranked Civitanova (4-2) against sixth ranked Aurora JE (4-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Civitanova was defeated by Aurora JE in Jesi 84-71. Aurora JE dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Civitanova's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Riccardo Casagrande (196-88) who scored 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Swingman Mattia Magrini (190-93) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Five Aurora JE players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Dario Masciarelli (197-98, agency: Two Points) who recorded 29 points and 6 rebounds and the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Aurora JE moved-up to fourth place in B, which they share with Vigevano and Lecco. Aurora JE will face Faenza (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Civitanova will play against Giulianova (#10) and hope to win that game.
