A very interesting game took place in Teramo. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 13th ranked Teramo (1-4) to first ranked Piacentina (5-1) 53-51 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. 25 personal fouls committed by Teramo helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Point guard Roberto Maggio (183-90) notched 17 points to lead the effort and Lorenzo De-Zardo (199-99, agency: Players Group) supported him with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by guard Mattia Melchiorri (192-97) did not help to save the game for Teramo. Swingman Giorgio Di-Bonaventura (192-97) added 7 points and 7 rebounds. Teramo's coach Manuel Cilio let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Piacentina maintains first position in B with 5-1 record, which they share with Monfalcone and Bernareggio. Teramo at the other side dropped to the fourteenth place with four games lost. Piacentina's next round opponent will be Ozzano (#5) in Ozzano dell Emilia. Teramo will play on the road against Senigallia (#11) and hope to win that game.
