Regular Season Round 4: Bauru - UniFacisa 92-99

Date: October 27, 2019
Bottom-ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (0-3) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 99-92 loss to fifth ranked UniFacisa (4-1) in Bauru on Sunday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. UniFacisa shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Nate Barnes (178-90, college: Alders.-Broad.) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 7 assists and Douglas Nunes (208-87) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American-North Macedonian Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian Nicholas Wiggins (198-91, college: Z*Orangeville A's) scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five UniFacisa and four Paschoalotto/Bauru players scored in double figures. Paschoalotto/Bauru's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. UniFacisa moved-up to second place, which they share with Flamengo. Loser Paschoalotto/Bauru still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Sao Jose. UniFacisa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against SKY/Basquete (#13) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
