Regular Season Round 5: Wetterbygden 2 - Talje 65-86

There was no surprise in Huskvarna where bottom-ranked Wetterbygden 2 (0-3) was crushed by sixth ranked Talje Knights (2-1) 86-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Talje Knights. Wetterbygden 2 was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Talje Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Wetterbygden 2's 26. They outrebounded Wetterbygden 2 52-35 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Hampus Ramstedt (200-99) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Clinton Nwajei chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Alfred Rehn produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and guard Erik Juhlin (189-0) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Talje Knights moved-up to third place in South, which they share with Kalmar and Hammarby. Wetterbygden 2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with three games lost. Talje Knights will face league's leader RIG Mark in Kinna in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Wetterbygden 2 will play against Hogland (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
