Regular Season Round 13: Koshigaya A. - Kagawa FA 70-87

Rather predictable result when second ranked Kagawa FA (8-3) won against 6th ranked Koshigaya A. (2-11) in Tokyo 87-70 on Sunday. Kagawa FA made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Koshigaya A.'s players. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording 37 points (!!!) and 8 assists. Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) added 19 points in the effort for Koshigaya A.Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Kagawa FA maintains second place with 8-3 record behind leader Shinshu BW. Koshigaya A. lost their sixth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Kagawa FA will have a break next round. Koshigaya A. will play at home against Ibaraki R. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
