Regular Season Round 6: Zamarat - Avenida 63-82

LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Zamarat (1-5) in Zamora 82-63. The game without a history. Perfumerias Avenida led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Perfumerias Avenida forced 20 Zamarat turnovers and outrebounded them 36-22 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Perfumerias Avenida shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was Dutch power forward Emese Hof (190-96, college: Miami, FL) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Tiffany Hayes (177-89, college: Connecticut) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brittany McPhee (183-96, college: Stanford) who recorded 15 points and her fellow American import forward Amy Okonkwo (188, college: TCU) added 11 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record, which they share with Girona. Zamarat lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Perfumerias Avenida will meet at home league's second-placed Argon Uni Girona in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zamarat will play against Gernika (#3) and hope to win that game.
