Regular Season Round 6: Cantu - Sassari 70-87

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Sassari (4-1) defeated on the road 12th ranked Cantu (2-3) 87-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Croatian center Miro Bilan (213-89, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five Sassari players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) who recorded 15 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Andrea Pecchia (194-97) added 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. Cantu's coach Cesare Pancotto let to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Sassari moved-up to second place. Loser Cantu keeps the twelfth position with three games lost. Sassari will face Virtus Roma (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cantu will play against Vanoli Cremona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
