Regular Season Round 6: Fabriano - Giulianova 87-57

Very expected game when 9th ranked Giulianova (2-4) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Fabriano (5-1) 87-57 on Sunday. Fabriano outrebounded Giulianova 48-27 including a 38-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Luca Garri (208-82) who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Francesco Paolin (190-95) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Coach Lorenzo Pansa's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Dominican guard Shaquille Hidalgo (188-94) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Enrico Gobbato (193-98) added 7 points and 12 rebounds respectively. Fabriano moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Monfalcone and Bernareggio. Loser Giulianova dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Fabriano will face Rimini (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Giulianova will play against Civitanova and hope to win that game.
