Hapoel Eilat has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Maccabi Haifa (0-2) 87-76. Hapoel Eilat made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was a very good performance for forward Kyvon Davenport (203, college: Memphis, agency: Network Sports International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Jared Terrell (190-95, college: URI) contributed with 25 points for the winners. Swingman James Young (198-95, college: Kentucky) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and swingman Scott Suggs (197-89, college: Washington) added 18 points in the effort for Maccabi Haifa. Hapoel Eilat (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Nes-Ziona. Newly promoted Maccabi Haifa still closes the standings with two games lost. Hapoel Eilat's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Holon (#6) at home and it may be quite challenging game. Maccabi Haifa will play against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
