The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Nuggets as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Suns) loss. Nuggets defeated bottom-ranked Kings in Denver 101-94. Nuggets made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Will Barton (198-91, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Canadian swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky) helped adding 18 points. Nuggets' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Richaun Holmes (206-93, college: Bowling Green) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds and guard DeAaron Fox (192-97, college: Kentucky) scored 20 points and 9 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nuggets have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with 3 other teams. Kings at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with N.Orleans P.. Kings will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Nuggets will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Mavericks at Dallas.
