Regular Season Round 9: Nassjo - Wetterbygden 104-109 OT

Tenth-ranked Nassjo (1-7) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Wetterbygden (6-2). The visitors from Huskvarna managed to secure only five-point victory 109-104. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 32-21. But Nassjo won second period 30-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Nassjo used huge pressure winning it 25-20 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 13-18. Wetterbygden shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 64.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. It was a good game for American guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!). American-Ivorian forward Moussa Kone (203-93, college: Hofstra, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American guard Nick Russell (193-91, college: SMU) answered with 24 points and 7 assists and the other American import center Dartaye Ruffin (205-91, college: Drexel, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Nassjo. Five Wetterbygden and four Nassjo players scored in double figures. Nassjo's coach Joakim Kallman tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Wetterbygden have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Nassjo lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Wetterbygden will play against KFUM Jamtland (#6) in Ostersund in the next round. Nassjo will play on the road against Djurgarden (#9) in Stockholm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
