Regular Season Round 18: Warriors - Piratas 74-65

The most important game in the last round took place in between third ranked Piratas (8-9) and seventh ranked Warriors (5-9) on Monday night. Piratas were defeated by Warriors in a tough game on the road 65-74. Warriors outrebounded Piratas 42-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for international guard Michaell Jackson (196-87) who led his team to a victory with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American Michael Murray (196-91, college: Coppin St.) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Warriors players scored in double figures. Warriors' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-95) replied with 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international power forward Jairo Mendoza (203-85, college: New Orleans) added 15 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Piratas. Warriors maintains seventh position with 5-9 record. Piratas at the other side keep the third place with nine games lost. They share the position with Academia.
