Regular Season Round 9: BC Lulea - Koping Stars 72-76

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lulea. First ranked Koping Stars faced 4th placed BC Lulea. Guests from Koping (8-1) defeated host BC Lulea (6-3) 76-72. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 4 points. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard CJ Jackson (185-96, college: Ohio St.) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Jeremy Combs (201-95, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Koping Stars players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Quinton Upshur (196-93, college: NAU) who recorded 23 points and 8 rebounds and guard Brandon Rozzell (188-89, college: VCU) added 21 points and 5 assists respectively. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Koping Stars have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-1 record. BC Lulea at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Koping Stars are looking forward to face Norrkoping Dolphins (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. BC Lulea will play against Umea (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
