Regular Season Round 6: Real Canoe - Huesca 69-54

Real Canoe's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Magia Huesca (3-3) 69-54 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Magia Huesca 45-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Point guard Alberto Martin (184-95) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Lobo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Croatian forward David Skara (203-95, college: Clemson) replied with 14 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Vasilije Vucetic (209-96) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Magia Huesca. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Real Canoe (1-5) left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place, which they share with Almansa. Magia Huesca at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 7 other teams. Real Canoe is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Marin (#18) on the road in the next round. Magia Huesca will play against Melilla Baloncesto (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
