Everything went according to plan in Casalpusterlengo where second ranked Basket RAV (4-1) beat 9th ranked UCC Piacenza (2-3) 75-68 on Wednesday. UCC Piacenza was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Giddy Potts (188-95, college: MTSU) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import power forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American-Irish forward Mike Hall (203-84, college: GWU, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Jazzmarr Ferguson (185-89, college: IU Southeast) scored 23 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Basket RAV went down to fourth position (A2) due to points difference. Loser UCC Piacenza dropped to the eleventh place with three games lost. Basket RAV will face A.Costa IM (#12) in Imola in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UCC Piacenza will play at home against Orzinuovi and hope to win that game.
