Regular Season Round 6: Zadar - Alkar 116-93
Date: October 31, 2019
Rather predictable result when fourth ranked KK Zadar (5-1) smashed at home 6th ranked Alkar (2-4) 116-93. KK Zadar made 31-of-36 charity shots (86.1 percent) during the game. KK Zadar outrebounded Alkar 35-19 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for KK Zadar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. KK Zadar players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Alkar helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Ive Ivanov (200-85, agency: PEPI SPORT) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Ivan Siriscevic (198-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American point guard Nickolas Neal (185-88, college: Purdue-NCent.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds, 13 assists and 4 steals and his fellow American import power forward Emmanuel Wembi (203-97, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) added 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) in the effort for Alkar. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KK Zadar have a solid four-game winning streak. KK Zadar moved-up to second place, which they share with Gorica. Alkar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. KK Zadar's next round opponent will be Sibenik (#4) on the road. Alkar will play against Dubrava and hope to win that game.
