Regular Season Round 9: Korihait - BC Nokia 55-91

Bottom-ranked Korihait (0-9) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 91-55 loss to ninth ranked BC Nokia (4-5) in Uusikaupunki. The game without a history. BC Nokia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Korihait's 30. 25 personal fouls committed by Korihait helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Ladarius Tabb (197-93, college: AAMU) nailed 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Teemu Sulonen (188-94) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists. Korihait's coach Jordi Juste gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. BC Nokia moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KTP Basket. Korihait at the other side still closes the standings with nine games lost. BC Nokia's next round opponent will be Ura Basket (#9) in Kaarina. Korihait will play on the road against the league's leader Vilpas where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
