Rather expected game when 6th ranked Pinheiros (3-2) lost to leader Mogi (4-0) in Mogi das Cruzes 69-73. They made 18-of-20 charity shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Pinheiros outrebounded Mogi 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international guard Danilo Fuzaro (193-94) who scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Luis-Felipe Gruber (206-85) chipped in 19 points. Mogi's coach Jorge Guerra allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The former international Betinho Nardi-Duarte (195-88) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Mogi and five Pinheiros players scored in double figures. Mogi have a solid series of four victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Franca. Pinheiros at the other side keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
