There was a minor upset when 3rd placed Pistons (2-4) lost to fifth ranked Bulls (2-4) in Detroit 106-112 on Friday. Bulls made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Guard Zach LaVine (196-95, college: UCLA) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Otto Porter (203-93, college: Georgetown) contributed with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Andre Drummond (208-93, college: Connecticut) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 24 rebounds and guard Derrick Rose (190-88, college: Memphis) added 23 points and 7 assists in the effort for Pistons. Four Bulls and five Pistons players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bulls moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Detroit P. Bulls will have a break next day. Pistons will play on the road against Nets (#4) in Brooklyn and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
