Regular Season Round 7: Le Portel - Bourg 74-90

Very expected game when 18th ranked Le Portel (1-7) was defeated at home by third ranked JL Bourg (6-1) 90-74 on Friday. JL Bourg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for power forward Pierre Pelos (205-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian swingman Danilo Andjusic (195-91, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard DAngelo Harrison (193-93, college: St.John's) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American-Gambian forward Ousman Krubally (202-88, college: Georgia St.) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. JL Bourg maintains third place with 6-1 record having just three points less than leader ASVEL, which they share with Dijon. Le Portel lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. JL Bourg will face Cholet Basket (#5) on the road in the next round. Le Portel will play against the league's second-placed Levallois (#2) and hope to win that game.
