Regular Season Round 4: Saint-Chamond - Evreux 78-90

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked ALM Evreux and 16th ranked Saint Chamond had identical 1-2 record. But Saint Chamond was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Evreux 90-78 on Friday night. ALM Evreux dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Saint Chamond's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was a very good performance for Florent Tortosa (198-89) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Jerrold Brooks (183-91, college: S.Mississippi) contributed with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Mathieu Guichard (187-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists and Jonathan Hoyaux (195-88) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Saint Chamond. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ALM Evreux (2-2) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Saint Chamond lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. ALM Evreux will face higher ranked Souffelweyersheim (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saint Chamond will play against Poitiers (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
