Regular Season Round 6: Udine - Crema 41-62

The biggest surprise of round 6 was guest Team Crema's (4-2) easy road victory over Udine (#7) 62-41 on Saturday evening. Team Crema held Udine to an opponent 19.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.0 percent accuracy of the winners. The best player for the winners was guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) who scored 30 points and 4 steals. Power forward Gilda Cerri (185-90) chipped in 8 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Giulia Ianezic (174-0) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Carlotta Rainis (174-97) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Team Crema moved-up to fourth place in A2. Udine at the other side dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Team Crema are looking forward to face Scrivia (#6) at home in the next round. Udine will play against the league's leader Moncalieri and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
