Regular Season Round 11: Aisin AW - Saitama B. 94-82

Rather expected game in Aichi where 5th ranked Saitama Broncos (5-5) were defeated by third ranked Aisin AW (8-3) 94-82 on Saturday. Aisin AW shot 63.5 percent from the field and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Aisin AW outrebounded Saitama Broncos 30-18 including a 27-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Aisin AW especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. It was a great evening for Senegalese forward Assane Diop (197-92, college: Austin Peay) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) helped adding 20 points and 5 rebounds. Five Aisin AW players scored in double figures. Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) responded with 28 points and 7 rebounds and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aisin AW moved-up to second place, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls and Saga B. Loser Saitama Broncos dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Okayama. Aisin AW will again meet at home Saitama Broncos (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round.
