Regular Season Round 7: AZS PCz - Bielsko-Biala 91-74

Not a big story in a game in Czestochowa where 11th ranked Bielsko-Biala (1-6) was defeated by sixth ranked AZS PCz (4-2) 91-74 on Saturday. AZS PCz looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for Piotr Lucka (194-96) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Nikodem Kowalski (200-95) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four AZS PCz players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Robert Kozaczka (199-81) responded with 29 points and 8 rebounds and guard Grzegorz Szybowicz (187-86) scored 12 points and 7 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. AZS PCz moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with Jaworzno. Bielsko-Biala lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with six games lost. AZS PCz will face Unia Tarnow (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bielsko-Biala will play against the league's second-placed AZS AGH KR in Krakow and hope to win that game.
