Bottom-ranked AZS Uniw.Gd. is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to eighth ranked Politechnika Gdanska (3-3) 74-58 on Saturday evening. Politechnika Gdanska forced 21 AZS Uniw.Gd. turnovers and had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Presley Hudson (168-97, college: Cent Michigan, agency: Two Points) notched 24 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and the other American import center Jenna Smith (190-88, college: Illinois, agency: Two Points) supported her with 11 points and 8 rebounds. Politechnika Gdanska's coach Vadim Czeczuro used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 4 assists by point guard Paulina Kuras (170-92) did not help to save the game for AZS Uniw.Gd.. Zaneta Szczesniak (180-92) added 13 points. Politechnika Gdanska moved-up to fifth place, which they share with AZS UMCS and Gorzow Wlkp. Newly promoted AZS Uniw.Gd. still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Torun. Politechnika Gdanska will meet at home league's leader Arka Gdynia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS Uniw.Gd. will play against Sleza Wroclaw (#4) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
