Regular Season Round 7: Bernareggio - Vicenza 74-69

Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Vicenza (3-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked Tessilform Bernareggio (6-1) 74-69 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tessilform Bernareggio looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for Senegalese forward Baye-Modou Diouf (202-99) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Swingman Stefano Laudoni (197-89) helped adding 16 points and 5 rebounds. Tessilform Bernareggio's coach Marco Cardani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (204-86, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and guard Stefano Cernivani (185-91) scored 15 points. Tessilform Bernareggio maintains third place in B with 6-1 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Palestrina, which they share with Monfalcone. Loser Vicenza keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Tessilform Bernareggio will face league's leader Padova on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vicenza will play against Crema (#13) and hope to win that game.
