We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Logrono where eleventh ranked Maquinaria Ensino (2-5) defeated 10th ranked Promete (2-5) 60-55 on Saturday. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American forward Atonye Nyingifa (180-90, college: UCLA) who led her team to a victory scoring 8 points and 15 rebounds. Swedish guard Kalis Loyd (188-89, college: Lamar) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side Jamaican forward Vanessa Gidden (192-85, college: Hofstra) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Mozambican power forward Leia Dongue (185-91) scored 20 points and 6 rebounds. Maquinaria Ensino moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Mann Filter and Promete. Maquinaria Ensino will meet at home league's second-placed Perfumerias Avenida in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Promete will play against Araski (#7) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
