Regular Season Round 7: Olginate - Corona Platina 66-61

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Olginate (3-4) beat at home 8th ranked Corona Platina (3-4) 66-61 on Saturday. Olginate dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Corona Platina's 30. It was a great evening for point guard Giuseppe Basile (188-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. Swingman Alessio Donadoni (197-97, agency: SPORTlab Agency) helped adding 13 points and 6 rebounds. Olginate's coach Massimo Meneguzzo used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center Antonio Lorenzetti (195-95) responded with 13 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Andrea Vignali (201-93) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Corona Platina players scored in double figures. Olginate moved-up to seventh place in B, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Corona Platina. Olginate will face Varese Robur (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
