Regular Season Round 11: Tokyo CR - Okayama 86-87

Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Eighth ranked Okayama (5-5) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Tokyo CR (3-9) 87-86 on Saturday evening. They outrebounded Tokyo CR 38-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. Okayama players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall, agency: HMS) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jeffrey Parmer (203-85, college: FAU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Okayama players scored in double figures. Okayama's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Tenyoku You (194-88) added 21 points in the effort for Tokyo CR. Okayama moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Saitama Bron. Tokyo CR at the other side keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Okayama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tokyo CR will play again at home against Okayama (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
