Regular Season Round 14: Gunma - Tokyo Z 86-58

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Gunma as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Gunma smashed 5th ranked Tokyo Z at home 86-58. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) notched 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and guard Fumiya Sato (170-90) supported him with 17 points. Gunma's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists by American forward Kyle Casey (201-90, college: Harvard) did not help to save the game for Tokyo Z. Nigerian-American center Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the guests. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sendai 89ers. Tokyo Z at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Aomori W.. Tokyo Z will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Gunma will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Tokyo Z at home.
