A very interesting game took place in San Salvatore. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 7th ranked San Salvatore (3-3) to eighth ranked Faenza (3-2) 58-56 on Saturday evening. Faenza forced 28 San Salvatore turnovers and had a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Simona Ballardini (181-81) notched 14 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and center Serena Soglia (186-0) supported her with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by forward Delia Gagliano (180-97) did not help to save the game for San Salvatore. Forward Giovanna Pertile (182-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 16 points. Faenza moved-up to seventh place in A2. San Salvatore at the other side dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Faenza's next round opponent will be Viterbo (#11) at home.
