Everything went according to plan in Roma where fifth ranked Edilnol Bl (4-2) won against bottom-ranked Eurobasket RO (0-6) 79-68 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Lorenzo Saccaggi (189-92, agency: Interperformances) who scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Nigerian-American forward Emmanuel Omogbo (203-95, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 18 points. Four Edilnol Bl players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Anthony Miles (185-89, college: Lamar, agency: Interperformances) who recorded 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) added 15 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Edilnol Bl moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Eurobasket RO still closes the standings with six games lost. Edilnol Bl will face 2B Control TR (#10) in Trapani in the next round where they are favorite. Eurobasket RO will play on the road against Zeus NPC Rieti (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
