Bottom-ranked Leeuwarden (0-7) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their seventh consecutive match to seventh ranked Den Helder (3-4) 74-63. It looked good early as Leeuwarden took a 5-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Den Helder had a 24-10 second period charge getting the lead and Leeuwarden was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-74. Even a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds by British Samuel Idowu (201-97, college: St.Peter's) did not help to save the game for Leeuwarden. Guard Tijme Van-Dijk (182-98) added 19 points. Den Helder moved-up to sixth place. Leeuwarden at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Den Helder will play against higher ranked Leiden (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leeuwarden will have a break next round.
