Sixteenth-ranked Chorale de Roanne (1-6) gave a tough game to leader Levallois (8-0). Levallois managed to secure only three-point victory 86-83. However their fans expected much easier game. Levallois made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Chorale de Roanne was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. American point guard Briante Weber (188-92, college: VCU) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. American swingman Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Alti Sport) came up with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Central African-American power forward Johndre Jefferson (207-88, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Chorale de Roanne in the defeat. Chorale de Roanne's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Levallois. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with ASVEL. Chorale de Roanne lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventeenth place with six games lost. Levallois will play against bottom-ranked Le Portel (#18) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chorale de Roanne will play against SIG Strasbourg to get more than just one victory in their record.
