Regular Season Round 7: Strasbourg - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 69-65

Date: November 2, 2019
There was a surprise result when seventeenth ranked SIG Strasbourg (2-5) defeated at home higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (2-5) 69-65 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American Gabe York (190-93, college: Arizona) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. His fellow American import point guard Travis Trice-II (183-93, college: Michigan St.) helped adding 10 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American swingman Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds and Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 6 points and 11 rebounds. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Pau-Lacq-Orthez lost their third game in a row. SIG Strasbourg will face Chorale de Roanne (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
