Regular Season Round 5: Sesvete - Jazine 82-89

Prva Liga top team - Jazine (5-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Sesvete (1-4) in Zagreb 89-82. Jazine made 22-of-26 charity shots (84.6 percent) during the game. Forward David Usic (205-93, college: Florida Tech) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and power forward Stipe Krstanovic (205-93) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds. Dario Papak came up with 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and Swedish Philip Babic (-94) added 10 points, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for Sesvete in the defeat. Five Jazine and four Sesvete players scored in double figures. Sesvete's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Jazine. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Samobor. Newly promoted Sesvete dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with Rudes and Bosco. Jazine will play against Kastela (#3) in Kastela Sucurac in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sesvete will play on the road against Omis-Cagalj T. (#7) in Galeb to get more than just one victory in their record.
