Regular Season Round 7: Roma Luiss - Palestrina 58-77

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Roma: Palestrina (#1) and Roma Luiss (#6). Roma Luiss were crushed at home by 19 points 58-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. 31 personal fouls committed by Roma Luiss helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Gianmarco Rossi (182-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his twelve free throws !!!). Naturalized Senegalese center Iba-Koite Thiam (205-98, agency: Players Group) helped adding 9 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side Andrea Martino (194-95) responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds and Alessio Di-Carmine (193-95) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Palestrina maintains first place in B with 6-1 record, which they share with Monfalcone and Bernareggio. Roma Luiss at the other side keep the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Vigevano. Palestrina is looking forward to face Ruvo (#9) in Ruvo di Puglia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roma Luiss will play at home against Scauri and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
