Regular Season Round 7: Boulazac - Nanterre 91-62

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked JSF Nanterre's (2-5) road loss to ninth ranked Boulazac Basket (4-5) 62-91 on Saturday. Boulazac Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to JSF Nanterre's 36. JSF Nanterre was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for center Alpha Kaba (208-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds. American forward Ryan Pearson (198-90, college: GMU, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 19 points. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and American swingman Spencer Butterfield (191-92, college: Utah St.) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Boulazac Basket moved-up to eighth place. JSF Nanterre lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with five games lost. Boulazac Basket will face Chalons-Reims (#9) on the road in the next round.
