Regular Season Round 7: Stal SW - AZS UW 63-76

Rather predictable result in Stalowa Wola where ninth ranked AZS UW (3-4) defeated bottom-ranked Stal SW (0-6) 76-63 on Saturday. Stal SW was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Hubert Stopierzynski (183-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Dariusz Sarnacki (198-93) helped adding 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Kacper Bejnar (200-97) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and Damian Tabor (186-98) scored 16 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UW moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Ostrow Mazow. Stal SW lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. AZS UW will face league's second-placed AZS Start II in Lublin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stal SW will play on the road against LKS Lodz (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
