Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tokyo EX (9-3) against fourth ranked Orange Vikings (6-8) on Saturday night. Visiting Tokyo EX was defeated by Orange Vikings in Matsuyama 82-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tokyo EX. Orange Vikings made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Tokyo EX's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals. Forward Taishi Kasahara (188-89) chipped in 9 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks and his fellow American import center Ryan Stephan (208-94, college: Colorado Mesa) added 19 points and 17 rebounds respectively for the guests. Tokyo EX's coach tested eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Orange Vikings moved-up to third place, which they share with Kumamoto V. Newly promoted Tokyo EX keeps the third position with three games lost. Orange Vikings will again meet at home Tokyo EX (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tokyo EX will have a break next round.
