Important game to mention about took place in Qingdao. Jilin Tigers (1-0) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging Eagles (0-1) 105-103 on Saturday evening. Eagles were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Dominique Jones (193-88, college: S.Florida) stepped up and scored 28 points and 8 assists for the winners and guard Yuxing Jiang (196-95) chipped in 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). At the losing side American power forward Dakari Johnson (213-95, college: Kentucky) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Bulgarian-American point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Wasserman) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Eagles' coach gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Jilin Tigers will face Gold Lions (#20) in Tianjin in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Eagles will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
